Very Unique Hupmobile Hot Rod

Vehicles like this unique, one of a kind 1931 Hupmobile street rod do not come around often. This particular traditional hot rod started its life as a 4 door convertible, but finds itself as a roadster pick up. Street rods like this Hupmobile are a true vision and passion that flows through the builders mind and hands. Every inch and part of this truck has been carefully chosen to make this a never seen before, or again traditional street rod. Just some of those special features include: 1939 GMC grill shell with hand crafted stainless steel insert. 1952 Mercury rear axle and tube front axle with friction shocks. Custom shift knob created from tranny gears from a Vespa 400 microcar. 1953 Olds grill bar that was converted into the rear bumper with unique Lowmobile script lettering. Pin striping by Allen Yuhasz. Powered by a 120 HP 1950 Ford flathead 242 Cu IN V8 and backed by a T5 5 speed manual transmission. Some more nice touches to the engine are the twin 2 barrel Holley 94 carburetors, factory aluminum intake, custom made brass carb stacks, and the handmade exhaust headers with baffles. The frame, interior, floors pans, trans tunnel, dashboard, rear of cab, pick up bed, and windshield frame have been all handmade. When you come across a well built street rod like what we have here, you know it was built out of passion. There are just too many special features on this vehicle to be able to list them all, like the copper coils for cup holders, it just needs to be seen. This way cool Hupmobile also caught the eye of Ol' School Rodz magazine and was featured in the November 2015 issue. This particular vehicle is on consignment and is for sale at the best offer.
