Collector quality restored 1936 Buick Special 40 Series 3 window coupe

Words can not express the quality and elegance of this 1936 Buick Special 40 Series. Very desirable 3 window coupe. This particular 1936 Buick coupe has been through a complete and collector quality grade restoration to factory specs, even down to the correct wiring on the amber driving lights. Powered by the Buick 233 Cu In straight 8, and backed by the 3 speed manual transmission. Fuel is delivered by a single Stromberg 2 barrel downdraft carburetor. As you can see from the pictures, all mechanics have been restored to factory specs including the wiring harness. The factory black paint code 422 is in excellent condition, as well as all the exterior chrome. Some features of this beautiful Buick that help it stand out are the dual side mount tires, side chrome on the hood, front driving lights, red pinstripe and fabulous chrome grill. Riding on matching body color factory wheels, that also have the matching red pin stripe, that are wrapped with Firestone wide white wall tires. The trim code 245 interior is also finished in the factory style mohair material, and is in excellent condition. All gauges work just as they should, including the glove box mounted clock. This great example of the fabulous 1930's cars, runs and drives just as a 1936 Buick should. This car is ready for the show circuit, or just a cruise on a sunny day to get ice cream. The time that was spent to detail shows without looking to hard. The passion the owner had for this special vehicle was second to none. Some of the awards that this Buick Special has won since the restoration include:

Niello Concours at Serrano 2006:
1st in class Vintage Closed Through 1948
