There are streetrods and there are well built streetrods. This 1937 Ford cabriolet is one of those well built cars. The exterior features the "Downs" produced body painted with the PPG Passion red and is in excellent condition. The exterior is set apart with the addition of Boyd Coddington wheels and the fabulous 1937 Ford front fenders and grille. Underneath the body is the professionally built "Fat Man" frame. The rear suspension is a 4 link with coil overs and a Ford 8" rear end. The front suspension is a Mustang II with tubular A arms. Stopping power is increased with the big brake front disc set-up. Powered by a Chevrolet 355 with 4 bolt main and backed by a 350 turbo hydramatic transmission. A few more performance items include cast iron heads, 16" electric fan, and Jet Hot coated headers. The tan tweed interior is also in very good condition. Some of the features on this great streetrod are power windows, remote doors, power trunk lid, AM/FM remote stereo, full VDO gauges, and Vintage heat and AC.
