The Thunderbird has always been one of the flagships for Ford Motor Company and is still one of the more sought after models. Within the Thunderbird line-up, the "Bullet Birds" continue to increase in collectability. This body style was produced for 3 years from 1961 through 1963. They were rightfully named after the bullet-like body styling. In 1963, the Thunderbirds received a new horizontal styling line that ran across the front fenders and doors, 3 vertical trim pieces on the doors, and a new front grille that enhanced the already popular body style. 2 new features found on the 1963 Thunderbird were the change from a generator to alternator and the added optional AM/FM stereo. This particular 1963 Ford Thunderbird has received a highly detailed nut and bolt restoration. It is powered by the sought after Ford 390 Cu In V8 and backed by the automatic transmission. Ease of driving is enhanced by the power brakes and power steering. This T-bird runs and drives just as should with no excuses. The Ragoon Red exterior is in excellent condition. All the exterior trim and chrome has either been replaced or rechromed. The white landau top is also in excellent condition. The exterior is enhanced by the factory stainless trim on top of the fenders and doors, front grille that is loaded with chrome, landau side emblems, and the famous rear taillight chrome "Q's". The factory 2 tone beige vinyl interior is in excellent condition and has been completely restored, including all new of rechromed interior trim. This Thunderbird is also loaded with options including dual power front seats, power windows, swing away steering column, factory A/C, and AM/FM stereo. This Thunderbird would be a great start or addition to any collection and is truly museum quality.
