The 1940 Ford has always been coveted by street rodders and enthusiasts alike. This 1940 Ford Business Coupe is a nice example of an older street rod build on the great, classic platform. This Ford is powered by a small-block, 350 cubic inch, Chevrolet V8 and backed by a 350 Turbohydramatic, 3-speed automatic transmission. Both the engine and transmission perform just as they should with plenty of power to easily move this business coupe down the road. Transferring the power to the rear wheels is a 12-bolt GM rear differential. The body on this Ford is an original, 1940 Ford steel body and sits on a factory 1940 Ford frame. The exterior benefits from an older repaint that still shines well with minimal defects. There is some surface rust starting in the body in a few areas. The rear floor boards have, also, had some patches installed. The exterior is very straight and is complimented nicely by a vintage set of RPM chrome wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A's, chrome plated grill, aftermarket chrome mirrors, and chrome Ford locking fuel cap. The grey diamond-tufted cloth interior is in overall very good condition with minimal defects. This 1940 Ford Business Coupe is nicely optioned with electric clock, AM/FM/Cassette stereo, power steering, front disc brakes, tilt steering, and air conditioning.
