The classic 4x4 market is one that is rapidly appreciating and it is easy to see why. Most of these trucks were used as "work horses" and were rarely preserved. This is a nice example of a 1970 Ford F100 4x4. These trucks were commonly referred to as the Ford High-Boy pickups due to Ford using a divorced transfer case that caused the front end to sit 4" taller than the rear. To correct this, Ford installed 4" spacer blocks in the rear suspension to "level" out the truck, thus giving it its naturally tall ride. This Ford F100 is powered by a 360 cubic inch V8 and backed by a 4-speed manual transmission with a floor shifter. The engine runs and performs just as it should with no sign of misfire or hesitation. The 4 speed transmission shifts through the gears just as it should as well. This truck has an awesome V8 sound delivered by the true dual exhaust. This truck not only drives excellent, but also handles the road great with the added installation of a steering damper and coilover shocks in the rear. This Ford also benefits from a lot of recent maintenance totaling $5000 in receipts including: lubrication of the front hubs, servicing the transfer case, new U-joints on the front axle, new brake lines, all new brakes, all new wheel seals, all new wheel cylinders, new thermostat, and new tires. The Yellow exterior of the truck is in good, driver condition and shines well. The body of this great truck is very solid and straight with the exception of some rust in one crossmember under the cab. The body, also, appears to be very original with no signs of major bodywork. The interior of the truck is in driver condition with some minor flaws. The seat and dash pad are in great shape with no cracking or splits in either.
