From 1979 to 1986, the Mercury Capri was built on the same Fox platform as the Ford Mustang and could be optioned with the High-Output 5.0 liter V8. From 1984 to 1986, these great sports cars were further improved through a partnership between ASC (American Specialty Cars) and Bruce McLaren Racing and were transformed into the quickest car that Mercury produced between 1984 and 1986. Only 245 ASC/McLaren roadsters were produced for the 1986 production year with just 12 of those being finished in ASC White paired with the Tan leather interior and Tan convertible top. The ASC White exterior on this Mercury Capri in in excellent condition with only minor defects to note. Complimenting the ASC White exterior are the period-correct ASC/McLaren stripes and White honeycomb-style McLaren wheels wrapped in the original Goodyear Eagle tires. The Tan leather interior is in excellent condition with little to no wear present. Both factory Recaro seats are in excellent condition with plenty of padding. The Tan cloth convertible top is in very good condition with the only defects being two minor pinholes on the passenger side.
